Congratulations to Adrian Peterson for being selected to the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl. Peterson had this to say of the honor:
“This is a great honor as a rookie and I’m proud to be selected. More important than that is that some of the guys who made it possible for me to go are also going, like Hutch, Birk and Tony. This was one of my goals coming into the season and it feels good to accomplish that. I’m blessed by the individual honor, but I know we have some team goals we are still striving for.”
Adrian Peterson leads the NFC in rushing with 1,278 yards and ranks second in the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 12.
Behind the strong running of Adrian Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears 20-13 last night on Monday Night Football. Peterson scored both of his touchdowns in the second half, the first coming on a 1-yard dive and the second on an 8-yard scamper.
The second touchdown run came on a third and goal in which Adrian Peterson and Vikings Quarterback Brooks Bollinger miscommunicated. After Peterson and Bollinger brushed against each other on a poor handoff, Peterson stutter-stepped and froze Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher before scampering into the endzone off the left side.
With the win, the Vikings improve to 8-6 and stay in control of the NFC’s last Wild-Card Spot.

Playing for the first time in three weeks, Adrian Peterson led the Minnesota Vikings to a 42-10 win over the Detroit Lions. In less than three quarters of work, Adrian Peterson racked up 116 yards and two touchdowns.
Peterson’s strong return kept him as the front-runner for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. For the year, Adrian Peterson now has 1197 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games played.
